The Durant family has been in the Chevrolet business since 1960. Tom Durant owned his first dealership in 1972. He purchased Classic Chevrolet in 1988. An opportunity to relocate in 1992 allowed Classic Chevrolet and its employees to move to Grapevine Texas on an 11 acre 65,000 sq. ft. facility.
In the last 10 years, Classic Chevrolet has expanded to 22 acres, with a new large truck center, a commercial specialty vehicle facility, an enormous separate building for pre-owned vehicles and a state-of-the-art body shop, making Classic Chevrolet one of the largest new and pre-owned vehicle retailers in the area.
