What to do as part of your lease return

As your present lease draws to a close, you may question your next steps for you and your vehicle. The end of a lease term requires you to have your car inspected and returned to any Chevrolet dealership, but depending on the way you wish to complete the task, there may be more to it than that. You will have three basic choices for ending your lease: It is possible to buyout your lease, it is easy to return your lease, or you can return your lease and buy another vehicle. 1. Do I need to return my lease to Classic Chevrolet - Grapevine?
   You may return your leased vehicle to any Chevrolet dealer, regardless of where you leased it from originally.
2. What if I prefer to end my lease early?
   If you wish to end your lease before its scheduled termination, you're able to buyout your lease at any time, or you may trade-in your car or truck anytime. If you'd like to turn your vehicle in ahead of time, you'll simply be accountable for any remaining payments on your lease.
3. Should I buyout my lease?
   Opting to buyout your lease is often a great choice dependent on your situation. You should always compare with your additional lease-end options to ensure that you make the best choice. Typically, the end-of-lease buyout price will just be any residual value in your lease contract; it's up to you to decide whether or not the residual value is a reasonable price for you to pay. It's necessary to consider whether or not you would pay that price to get a different used car or truck of a similar mileage and equipment. 4. What is the procedure for turning my lease in?
   When you'd like to turn in your lease, your vehicle needs to be examined by a certified agent. Once this has been done, handing over your lease will only require you to complete some paperwork regarding the vehicle.
5. When do I need to have my vehicle inspected?
   It's suggested that you have your car or truck inspected within the last two months of your lease. This will make sure that you have enough time to schedule repairs on the vehicle, if there is any required maintenance.
6. Why can't my dealer perform the vehicle inspection?
   Only authorized agents can perform end-of-lease inspections, but if you can return your vehicle to Classic Chevrolet - Grapevine at the end of your lease, we will contact an authorized agent who will perform the inspection.
7. How long will the inspection take?
   The inspection of the car should take approximately one hour, unless there is an excess quantity of damage to your vehicle.
8. Do I need to be present through end-of-lease inspection?
   While it's not a requirement that you be present for the inspection of the vehicle, we do strongly recommend it. If you're at the vehicle inspection, you are able to better understand the assessment results, along with any charges that could apply. In addition to this, you'll need to sign off on the vehicle report that the inspector produces; you will also obtain a copy of the report at this time.
